1960s Wishbone Pendant

£355.00

One of the OG good luck charms, the story of the wishbone goes a loooooong way back; the Etruscans (circa 300BC) thought of birds as oracles and would dry out wishbones, believing they had divine powers. It was the Romans who started the tradition snapping them between two people (the winner of the luck being the one left with the bigger piece of bone), and I believe this started because of two fellas having a scrap over the possession of a sacred wishbone, and snapping it by accident.

But back to the pendant!! A gorgeously generous size, beautiful glowing gold and super naturalistic modelling, it’s a beaut that will add interest and impact to any chain you hang it from.
