Ooof this is pretty! That little heart shaped opal is positively BURSTING with colour; green, blue, yellow, orange, red and pink. Just beautiful. And the mount! So very decorative and three dimensional, the barley twist edge is amazing on its own, but then there is a further rope twist border in addition! Insane detail. I love how deep the piece is, it’s a right little chunk. I think maybe the bale was added later, as it seems later that the mount, but it’s perfect and simple to complement the rest of the piece. Also a generous bale which we all like for our pesky jump rings on chains! This is a really very beautiful opal piece, it may not be big, but it has huge personality.
