Such a superb locket, it wasn’t until I opened it that I realised it wasn’t solid gold! It’s a really gorgeous size too, just that bit bigger than you’d expect. In perfect condition, with both the frames intact, it’s an absolute gem of a locket, and no-one will know that it’s not solid gold.
This locket was made by SKM & Co, an American firm from Providence, Rhode Island, who specialised in ‘gold fill’ lockets. This was pretty much all they did, in all shaped and forms, which explains the beauty and perfection of this piece!
