It easily opens using the two little bobbles, and you can place all sorts of sentimental objects inside; a lock of hair, a pressed flower, a small photograph, a little feather perhaps? It closes securely with a satisfying little click.
The two glass sides are beautifully domed so you get a real three dimensional chubby heart shape, and the bezel setting keeps it fresh and clean looking, despite its age. Please note this is not gold, I have had gold examples, but they now reach such huge prices, that I was very happy to grab this much more affordable alternative!
