Antique Old Cut Diamond Cluster Pendant

£495.00

This diamond cluster, or ‘daisy’ as they are often known is a little firecracker! Those deep, high crowned cushiony old cuts really work hard sparkle away with fantastic fire. The cluster is a classic design, and for good reason, it’s so pretty, and you get a real bundle of brilliance from those diamonds, all sparkling together. I have estimated the weight of the diamonds at 0.40ct. The stones are beautifully clear, especially for little old cuts.

This is a conversion of sorts, and it’s been done really nicely. The gallery on the reverse is super sweet, and echoes the flower pattern on the front, all pierced out to let the maximum light through. The piece is mounted in 18ct gold, but platinum mounted, to help the diamonds retain their brilliance, typical of pieces of this age.

A really very beautiful piece to wear alone on a simple chain, or to make friends with other pendants. You could even pop it on a slim hoop earring!

Era

Circa 1880

Material

Diamond, 18ct yellow gold and platinum (all tested)

Measurements

Width of pendant 8.5mm, height (including bale) 15mm

Condition

Very good antique condition. One diamond has been replaced with a later diamond, which I only noticed when editing the photos on a big screen!
