What. A Beauty. She’s perfect. A chunky little monkey, this rich 18ct ring is home to a gorgeous old cut diamond (approx. 0.25ct), which is deeply set into the mount. Historically known as ‘gypsy’ rings, they are my absolute favourite type of ring. They are old, yet look clean and fresh, the setting is not only beautiful, but entirely practical and perfect for every day wear (no claws to snag/bash, and the stone is well protected). The gold ages in such a gorgeous way, over 100 years, tiny little scratches combine to give the gold an inimitable lustre.
The proportions of the ring are spot on, curves in all the right places, it’s on the small side, and would make an epic pinky ring. However, the hallmarks are to the side so sizing is not an issue.
