Edwardian Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring
Such a treasure! Unfortunately opal is super hard to photograph, it drives me mad! I have tried really hard to do it justice here!
A central round cabochon white opal is surrounded by gorgeous little old cut diamonds, and flanked by two oval opals to the shoulders. For me, it’s the shoulder stones that really make the ring, there is so much colour and life going on here! Mounted in a classic 18ct gold claw mount, this ring is just so so pretty. The play of colour from the opals is truly mesmerising, each stone is different, but you can see blue, green, pink and the most desirable, red.
This isn’t an every day ring to do the gardening in, it’s in great condition, but requires a bit of care when worn, as with any opal ring.
Era
1906
Material
Opal, diamond, 18ct yellow gold
Hallmarks
Fully hallmarked for 18ct gold with Birmingham date letter for 1906
Size
O(UK) Just over a 7(US)
Condition
Great antique condition, the central opal is a teeny bit rubbed, and one shoulder stone has a minuscule nibble
