I adore little intaglio fobs, but I am very picky about the seal engravings. A forget me not always gets me, I love flowers in jewellery, and I think the meaning behind the name of this little blue flower is just so universally special. The sharp and very pretty image of the flower shows up really well against the opaque pale chalcedony, and the gold cased mount is beautifully modelled.
The fob has had a slightly warm gold bale added to it, a lovely thick old one, complete with hallmarks, but it is not original to the piece. In a gorgeously wearable size, she is lovely alone on a simple chain, or would look gorgeous mixed in with other favourite pendants or fobs. A perfect gift for a loved one, or of course to yourself, we all have those we want to remember.
