I reserve the word ‘mega’ for special occasions, and this is one of them. This mariner is so puffy and juicy that I want to bite it, but I won’t. In glowing 18ct yellow gold, it is luxurious, but also a very cool chain. The length makes it a real statement, the proportions are perfect and the puff is generous. The links are semi hollow, really substantial. It’s a beauty. I really love the dog clip, a stocky little thing which just works SO well. It has a French eagle head mark which is just super cool and chic. The whole piece is perfect.
I’m not entirely sure. It’s made so beautifully and generously with the gold that it could easily be antique, but I would say old vintage to be safe.
