Super Sweet Victorian Tourmaline Heart Pendant
I’ve had hearts in amethyst, moonstone, pearl, saphiret, amber, jet and probably many more gemstones, but never ever in tourmaline! That deep olive green is so beautiful and unique and I am thrilled to offer this perfect little jewel.
The heart is set in the most exquisite mount, generous with the gold (even the back is stunning) with a neat bezel and then a twisted rope border. It is super fine and just the best workmanship. This was always a pendant, it hasn’t been converted from a pin. To hold this heart in your hand is to understand the skill that went into making it.
Era
Victorian, circa 1880
Material
9ct yellow gold and green tourmaline
Hallmarks
Stamped 9ct on the reverse
Measurements
13 × 10 × 5mm not including the bale
Condition
Excellent. One tiny chip top right, almost impossible to see without a loupe
