Victorian 15ct Gold & Turquoise Forget Me Not Ring
This is the most precious ring. So typically Victorian in it’s sentimental nature, it’s a declaration of love in jewellery form.
The forget me nots, executed in the tiniest turquoise cabochons known to man, speak for themselves. The central lovers knot is a much used motif in 19th century jewellery, the strands entwined, the more you pull it, the tighter it becomes. Swoon.
Even the band has the sweetest detail. Tiny beaded decoration embellishes the shoulders, and the whole shank is split, so very pretty.
Era
Early Victorian, circa 1850
Material
15ct gold (tested) and turquoise
Size/Measurements
M (UK) 6.25 (US) can be sized down a little. The head measures 3.5mm. The band tapers down to 1.5mm
Condition
Very good antique condition. The turqs vary a little in colour, I would be suspicious if they didn’t!
