Victorian 18ct Gold 'Night & Day' Curb Link Bracelet
What a beauty. So called night day, because one side of the links are fancy, with floral engraving, and the other left simply polished. This is such a gorgeous bracelet, the links are tight, and it just has lovely proportions, it is substantial without being too chunky. The links are hollow, but with enough meat on them to keep the weight nice, which explains the great condition (thinner hollow links do not do well in bracelets, they can be very easily dented). I love the clasp, a simple rectangle of gold (which could be engraved) which along with the little safety chain, will keep the bracelet secured in style.
This is a really good example of Victorian gold jewellery, beautifully made, decorative, but ultimately, very wearable today.
Era
Circa 1890
Material
18ct yellow gold (tested)
Measurements
6.5’’ long, 6.2mm wide
Weight
10 grams
Condition
Very good antique condition. A couple of links have some very minor dents, around the clasp. Not easily noticeable without a loupe.
