Victorian Gilt Metal 'Think to You' Pansy Fob Pendant

£120.00

The most delightful little ‘costume’ piece; this is super decorative, and a great look for a fraction of the cost of a gold version. The super ornate scalloped fob is home to a ‘tassie’ which is a moulded glass imitation of a hardstone intaglio, in this case, it’s imitating bloodstone. The tassie depicts a beautiful pansy plat with two flower heads, and above it the words ‘to you’. The pansy was traditionally used in sentimental jewellery as a reference to the French word ‘penser’ (to think). A sweet little code for shy or discreet lovers.

This jewel, although not made from precious metal or stones, remains precious in its very pretty form and delightful message.
