Victorian Old Cut Diamond 'E' Pendant

£530.00
Sold Out

I get asked for initials all the time, like all the time. So you can imagine my delight when I found these guys. Victorian, set with nobbly old cut diamonds, 18ct gold, they are quite literally as rare as hens teeth! They are petite, but that kind of makes them all the more special, and those diamonds sparkle in the most beautiful twinkly way that you would expect from a true old cut. If you are a D flawless type, this isn’t for you. But if you like odd shaped, nobbly bobbly old cuts, somehow set to perfection, to fit into a tiny mount, slightly varying colours and cuts, then this is actual treasure.

My jeweller pointed out that the initials are very slightly curved (so slight I only noticed after he pointed it out) and he thinks they originally came off a ring. I bought the four initials (F R E D) already converted, but my jeweller tidied them up and added decent bales, because there is nothing worse than not being able to get your chain through a pendant right?!

Era

Originally circa 1870 (this pendant has been converted from a larger piece)

Material

18ct yellow gold (tested) and diamond

Measurements

15mm including the bale, 5.2mm wide
