Oh he is so sculptural! He’s engraved so beautifully, all those scales, and his eyes and mouth, so much detail! I have seen pendants like this before, where the snake is wrapped around a ball of goldstone, or sometimes malachite, but I actually prefer the gold snake on its own. The snake has a naughty face, and reminds me of Kaa from The Jungle Book. The piece has great presence, very much three-dimensional, a great jewel to fiddle with!
