This is such a cool piece, and a bit of a conundrum! The pendant is glass, yet mounted in high carat gold, 18.96ct to be precise! It is so pretty and the lion and symbols are super clear, and highlighted with a smattering of gold to really make the intaglio stand out. The glass is meant to imitate carnelian, it is a rich deep reddy-brown.
The image of the lion is self explanatory, but above him is the wiggly line that represents Leo in the zodiac, and a dot within a circle, which I presume is a further link to the zodiac. The beautiful bezel setting is simple and elegant, it needs nothing more, and that rich gold just glows. The perfect gift for the Leo in your life, or of course, yourself!
